Haunted Halfshells and A New Catch to Go
Hey Y'all,
Lots of slurping and sipping happening at the Catch tomorrow (!) from 12:00 - 3:00. It's our Haunted Halfshell Halloween Oyster fest, the best Saturday event we have had yet. From the wine pairings and the many oyster offerings to the tricks and treats, this is shaping up to be fabulous fall fun. |

Consider the above your official invitation. It starts at noon and goes until 3:00 or so.
Once you get here you are going to have to do some thinking.
Decisions you have to make on Saturday at the Oysterfest
Do you want 3 oysters or 12?
Do you want East Coast or West?
Do you want raw oysters or grilled?
Do you want sauces or toppings? Which topping? Which sauce?
Do you want a cup of oyster stew?
Do you want to want to taste wines?
How much does it all cost?
Depending on the number and type of oysters you get, the prices will range from $6.25 for 3 East Coast oysters up to $34.99 for a dozen West Coast. These are shucked for free and then you choose which you want to grill.
The sauces are free and the grill toppings add an extra $1.00 per oyster.
Free Saturday Wine Tasting
This week our wine tasting will coincide with our oyster party. We have carefully selected wines that will be nice complements to the varieties of oysters we will be tasting.
Here's the pairing guide:

Start your morning down the way at Unkies Pizza where they will have live music and kids entertainment. Then trick or treat along all the businesses in the center until you get to the Oyster Festival at our store. Or start with us and end at Unkies. Either way, it will be a great afternoon to celebrate Halloween, fall and oysters! |

Other Oysterish Items for Saturday
We will be conducting impromptu shucking lessons throughout the afternoon. Let us know if we can show you how!
We would be happy to provide a few dozen to go if you would like to take some shucked oysters to that little football game airing Saturday afternoon. Let us know early if you can.
How about a little holiday shopping for your favorite oyster lover? We have an Oyster Shucking Survival Kit which includes our favorite shucking knife, a pair of gloves, a towel, and a very cute mini journal to record your oyster eating experiences - $34.99.
Another very nice oyster lover gift would be the Shucker Paddy Oyster Serving Tray - $44.95. Use this for shucking and for serving.
Catch To Go
What a great response we had to our last Catch to Go meal! I hope you will find this week's meal just as enticing. I chose Icelandic cod for the fish because it is both hearty and light. As we transition into fall, it seemed like the right fish to coat with a Parmesan mix and then cover with a light lemony sauce. Asparagus is the side dish and, for something special, we made a creamy Pumpkin Soup as a nod to Halloween.

It's home made without the home work.
