Hey Y'all, 420 has come and gone. While I personally don't have much of an opinion either way on the legalization of marijuana, I am all about a celebration that causes people to be very hungry. |

FREE Wine Tasting On Saturday, 3:00-5:00 pm! Come see us this weekend for our free wine tasting on Saturday afternoon from 3:00-5:00. Mixing it up this weekend with a Oregon Rose, a Napa White, and a Spanish red:
Terroir de Zinio Tempranillo Reserva - $27.99 Deep garnet in color, this wine has aromas of cassis, black tea and a hint of roasted red pepper. Rigorous tannins encase black-cherry, Mission fig, bittersweet-chocolate, coffee-bean and dried thyme flavors. The finish is marked with a lingering note of cocoa powder.
Stoller Pinot Noir Rose, 2025 - $19.99 Willamette Valley, OR Stoller Family Estate’s 2025 Pinot Noir Rosé opens with bright, juicy aromas of fresh strawberry, watermelon, white flowers, and tangerine, followed by a palate that is vibrant and citrus‑driven with layers of strawberry, watermelon, and a subtle thread of minerality that carries into a clean, refreshing finish. Its lively acidity and delicate fruit make it an excellent partner for a wide range of dishes, including grilled shrimp, citrus‑glazed salmon, sushi, Niçoise salad, goat cheese crostini, and light summer pastas with herbs or vegetables.
Silverado Miller Ranch Sauvignon Blanc, 2024 - $21.99 Yountville, Napa Valley, CA Winemaker Notes This 2024 Sauvignon Blanc is a bright and refreshing wine with aromas of grapefruit, lime, and stone-fruit. The palate offers abundant tropical flavors with notes of lemon zest and melon, lifted by crisp acidity and minerality on the finish. Blend: 96% Sauvignon Blanc, 4% Semillon |
And Finally, You may have seen my little car outside my store. It's the dirty one. I'm pretty good at keeping my house clean. I work hard at making sure my store is clean. When it comes to keeping my car clean, it's a different story. I haul stuff around: dripping boxes of seafood, store supplies packed to the tippy top, a dog or two. The only time I ever put the back seats up is when a grandchild joins me on an adventure which in itself can mean a major mess. Basically, it's not a very tidy place.
I was in a very small fender bender which didn't actually damage a fender at all - just a scratch. The repair was done in an afternoon and guess what? The repair shop cleaned my car inside and out before returning it. It probably took longer to clean it than repair it!
A month later, the pollen has caked over the windows and body of my car. I can barely see to drive. Solution? Ask Mr. Fish to pick up some plants for me at the nursery knowing he wouldn't put them in his pristine car. But will he drive mine in such a condition? Nope. Done. Another car wash by someone else.
I'm now set for another year before pollen season comes around again. Watch out for me in the meantime if you see me on the road. I may be looking for another car wash. Blessings, Kathleen |
