Verlasso, Poke and Haunted Halfshells
Hey Y'all,
Happening SaturdayWe are preparing tuna poke this Saturday because it was so good last week. For the poke, we use an entire 6 ounce portion of our gorgeous yellowfin tuna chopped in small pieces atop a pile of jasmine rice. You choose the toppings - edamame, carrots, green onions, pineapple, cucumber. And we finish it off with our delicious, (really delicious) sesame sashimi sauce that will bring together all the flavors for a fresh, filling and healthy lunch. Available from 11:00-2:00 on Saturday! |
Catch To Go
Getting dinner on the table can be tough after a busy day and we want to help with that. It would be a heck of a thing if we could just pop over and get a delicious dinner in the oven for you, but since our cloning/teleporter machine is on the blink, we are going to need your help. Could you stop by our store and pick the dinner up? After that, it's a simple matter of baking the meal to land a nice tasty meal on your table.
This week I thought you would like something with fall flavors so I started with mashed sweet potatoes and Granny Smith apples. Brussels sprouts are fall-ish so I tossed some in a balsamic glaze which melds the earthy, sweet and tangy all in the same meal.
Salmon is everyone's favorite so this meal should be a winner.

We are featuring R. Stuart & Co. wines this week. Based in McMinnville, Oregon, Rob Stewart has become one of the most liked and respected winemakers among his peers in the Willamette Valley. We like him enough to sell three Pinot Noirs of his along with a 'Champagnois style' sparkling, his super popular Pinot Gris, and a Rose of Pinot Noir. This Saturday we'll be pouring 1. an upper-end Pinot Noir, 2. the Big Fire label 'entry level' Pinot Noir, and 3. a Rose bottled under the Love, Oregon label.
R. Stuart Daffodil Hill vineyard Pinot Noir, 2022 - $48.79
Eola-Amity Hills - Willamette Valley, OR
Wine Enthusiast Rating - 91
Review:
Find your pinot thrill on Daffodil Hill with this invigorating aromatic trinity of cranberry relish, hibsicus tea and pine needles. Flavors of clove and an orange scone with cranberry icing match up with brisk acidity. Side note - this is the first American wine label with braille on it that I've come across. Michael Alberty
R. Stuart Big Fire Pinot Noir, 2022 - $22.89
Willamette Valley, OR
Wine Enthusiast - 90 rating
Big Fire burns bright with its fresh and crisp red raspberry and cranberry aromas. The wine's flavors are equally tangy, with red cherries, quince, sage and espresso flavors holding court. Those flavors feel like they are gliding along, thanks to mouth-watering acidity and silky tannins. With a name like Big Fire, consider pouring this wine with burgers straight off of the backyard hibachi.
R. Stuart Love, Oregon Rose, 2022 - $19.99
