SHELLFISH 101: Cooking Class with Chef Jon of Kathleen's Catch

Join Chef Jon of Kathleen's Catch at the Johns Creek Wine and Crystal (next door to the Johns Creek market) to learn the basics of everything shellfish! The Shellfish 101 class will explore shrimp, mussels, clams, and the cleaning and cooking methods behind them. We will prepare a simple shrimp scampi, a traditional mussels dish from France, and a linguini with clams. This is the perfect class for anyone who wants to expand their knowledge of shellfish and learn different ways to cook it. Thjis is also a wonderful class for anyone who wishes to learn more about cleaning, storage and the actual cold chain that gets most of this wonderful shellfish to us every day ALIVE!
Johns Creek Wine and Crystal will be offering wine tastings and further education about pairing wines with fish and shellfish.
